The JC Project MuSE Tier 2 Continuous Music Training (CMT) programme embraces a holistic approach to music education. Designed within a framework where activities, assessments, and intended learning outcomes reinforce one another, the programme aims to achieve four key objectives:
- Build Musical Literacy – Develop fundamental skills in music listening, aural perception, and notation reading.
- Enhance Cognitive Skills – Strengthen key executive functions, including emotional control, working memory, and cognitive flexibility.
- Foster Character & Community – Promote positive character development, social values, cultural literacy, teamwork, and a strong sense of community.
- Support Musical Excellence – Provide talented students with access to advanced training opportunities.
Centred around instrument-based music learning, the CMT programme, developed by HKBU, nurtures well-rounded musicians through positive reinforcement and encouragement at every stage of their musical journey.

Programme Design
- Rooted in Experiential Learning, this programme is designed for Primary 1 to Primary 6 students.
- Through a variety of extracurricular activities, it enhances musical understanding, artistic expression, and creativity, while sparking curiosity and imagination.
- The programme also includes seminars for teachers and parents, featuring guest speakers who highlight the value of music and the arts, share practical strategies for student support, and strengthen connections between students, teachers, parents, and the wider community.
Key Components
- Music For All – Hands-on, interactive activities that take students beyond the classroom to explore hidden sounds, fundamental musical concepts, and creative expression. These experiences ignite curiosity and inspire a lifelong appreciation of music.
- Music Appreciation Workshops – Live concerts and workshops led by renowned musicians and EdUHK ensemble members, designed to enrich students’ understanding of music through listening, creative engagement, and direct interaction with performances.
- Parent Engagement Activities – Curated sessions where parents explore the role of music and the arts in their children’s development. These activities enhance awareness of arts education and equip parents with strategies to support their children’s growth.
- Teacher Workshops – Tailored sessions for teachers, parents, and caregivers, including grandparents or guardians, on how music and the arts can enhance students’ learning, creativity, and overall development.

Our mission is to provide underprivileged students with access to high-quality classical music experiences. As a professional orchestra performing year-round, we believe the performance-focused programmes in JC Project MuSE will enrich students' musical learning while fostering holistic personal development.
Our programme is structured into two key areas: Music Appreciation and Pre-Orchestra Support, each designed to inspire and support students on their musical journey.
Music Appreciation:

Programme Philosophy
Co-developed by SF&OC Sports Legacy and Hong Kong Metropolitan University, this program is based on the Long-Term Athlete Development (LTAD) framework, supporting young athletes' physical, psychological, and emotional growth. Through a structured training approach, we aim to foster positive development for participants of all ages and skill levels, cultivating sports literacy, balanced training habits, and a lasting habit for sports.
Three-Stage Training System
Stage 1: “Fun Sports” Experience
Introduces exciting Obstacle Course Racing coaching and experience in PE classes to enhance students’ interest and engagement, developing their basic motor skills, coordination, and physical conditioning.Stage 2: Continuous Sports-specific Training
Provides systematic training for participants to refine sport-specific skills, and to install essential life skills through practical learning.Stage 3: Advanced Sports Training
Advanced curriculum to enhance the development of students with potential to excel in their sport of choice, integrating evidence-based training to optimize performance and health to nurture well-rounded athletes.SF&OC Sports Legacy fosters holistic athlete growth through three progressive stages: fun obstacle course racing, continuous sports-specific training, and advanced sports training. Based on LTAD principles, it enhances physical, mental, and emotional development while promoting sports literacy and lifelong passion. Expected outcomes include improved fitness, resilience, talent identification, and instilling values like teamwork and perseverance in youth athletes.
